- Team member information: Names and contact information of employees, contractors, or team members you add to your account
- Task content: Task descriptions, instructions, photos, videos, and notes uploaded to the Service
- Clock-in and clock-out data: Team member shift start and end times and hours worked
- Work logs and payroll data: Hours summaries and exported payroll records you generate through the Service
- Communications: Messages or correspondence you send to Taskworks support
2.2 Information Collected Automatically
When you use the Service, we may automatically collect certain technical information, including:
- Device information: Device type, operating system, browser type, and unique device identifiers
- Usage data: Pages visited, features used, actions taken, and time spent within the Service
- Log data: IP address, access times, referring URLs, and error logs

5. Children's Privacy and COPPA Compliance
Taskworks is available to users of all ages including children under 13, subject to the requirements of this section.
5.1 Users Under 13
Taskworks complies fully with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). For users under the age of 13 we require verifiable parental or legal guardian consent before creating an account and before collecting any personal information.
What we collect from users under 13: We limit our collection of information from users under 13 to only what is necessary to provide the Service, including a username, a parent or guardian email address for consent verification, and activity within the Service such as tasks completed.
We do not:
- Collect more information from users under 13 than is necessary to provide the Service
- Share personal information of users under 13 with third parties for marketing purposes
- Condition participation on disclosure of more personal information than is reasonably necessary
5.2 Parental Rights
Parents and legal guardians of users under 13 have the right to:
- Review the personal information we have collected from their child
- Request correction of inaccurate information
- Request deletion of their child's personal information and account
- Withdraw consent for continued collection and use of their child's information
- Refuse to permit further collection of their child's information

5.3 Users Ages 13 to 17
Users between the ages of 13 and 17 may use the Service. We encourage parents and guardians to be involved in and aware of their teenager's use of the Service. The same data practices described in this Privacy Policy apply to users in this age group.

As a California-based company we are committed to full compliance with the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA).

7. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. When you close your account or request deletion of your data, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within 90 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or accounting purposes.
Work logs, clock-in records, and payroll information may be retained for up to seven (7) years to comply with applicable employment and tax record-keeping requirements under California and federal law.
Personal information of users under 13 will be deleted promptly upon withdrawal of parental consent or upon a verified parental deletion request.

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction, including:
